It's Friday night, I'm working class, and over 50, yawn.
To old to be young, and to young to be at a Senior center, which I suspect people at senior centers are having more of a jolly time than I am right now.

I haven't been on a date in years, don't even know where to find a date anymore.
Seems online, all I get is 'Such and such 10 miles away, and waiting'...ye right.
I don't think those adds know where I live lol.

Seems the only people who are over the age of 50, and still have fun on Friday nights, are those who are wealthy, and go to expensive high-end restaurants, or clubs.
But if poor, income poor, and over the age of 50, what the heck are ya gonna do?, hang out with family?
What if don't have family to hang out with, then what?

I mean if not chasing the opposite gender, than what's so special about Friday nights anymore?  I mean it sucks being old, but not senior citizen old. Know what I'm saying? It's an awkward place to be when single, you're old, above the age of 50, but not like senior citizen looking old, it just puts you in a odd spot when single. You're old enough to look older to someone who's younger than you, but yet don't have that old old, over the hill senior citizen look about self yet. Just a very odd spot to be when single. |

Not sure how much good a date would do me now, so instead I'm focusing on trying to create a stream of income for myself so that if live on in years, even though may be single, at least won't be broke, that's the plan anyways.
There really is no plan B, well there is, but.

This has got to be one of the most meaningless Friday nights of my life. Long work day, have to work tomorrow, so I'm just 'here'. not enough time to get into anything. I don't like building momentum, enthusiasm, towards something just to have to cut it short to go to bed. But hey, I'm not in Ukraine fighting the Russians, or starving on the streets of Mexico, or many other less desirable place around the world right now. Another flat Friday night for me, but got to work tomorrow, so that's expected.
But still, when you have lots of friends in your life, no night is really dull.
Think about that (or maybe you don't have to)
But when I had friends in life who stopped by, or called, really no night was ever boring or dull, but got to go back a decade or more to remember such a time.

Hey, I did buy a rain suit today, is that exciting?  Yep, I bought some rain gear today at the Farm and Tractor depot, wow, I'm certainly trending now....good grief, poor poor me.

As hard as it's raining out, I'm glad I bought that rain suit yesterday, it may of been boring doing so, but today that purchase is sure proving to

The video is about 8 years old or so, but refound it on another site where it was posted back in 2014.
One can only wonder where that person is today, who did the mean MJ impersonation.
If I tried moving like that today, my body would probably fall apart.

This old man isn't going to be doing nothing spectacular on this Friday night. Thinking about getting a wall projector though.  It would probably just be something else I buy, and then never use. But it would be kind of neat to have, to see everything like jumbo sized..even ____ type of movies, hmm. |
