Sometimes I'm just not sure what to do with myself anymore.
I mean for the last year or so, I've been totally wrapped up in a weekly radio show, that's pretty much been my life. But now that shows about to end, so now what? I'm going to have a lot more time on my hands, and not sure what to do anymore that doesn't require a lot of money.
1. Get a second part time job? 2. Volunteer my time? 3. Take some kind of a course?
I spent over 2 gran, over a year ago, getting life couch certified, and haven't done a thing with, not a thing.
When get older, as I am, and don't have a family to take interest in, life can seem a bit hollow after a while. It's like still living the life of a teenager while in your 50's, cause you have no one else to focus your attention on.
I don't know, we shall see.

My problem is, is that I think I've learned the ways, and games of this world, a bit to late.
Seems some people are just keen from the get go, probably do to parents who really prepared them well. Where as others, well, we have to just kind of learn on our own as we traverse through life.
And there's other variables as well...your sex appeal, your gender, your geographical or geopolitical location and so forth.
If cute, people will just want to help you more, and or exploit you...again, there's so many variables to where fate leads us on our paths. Not all white people get ahead and prosper, and not all black people are poor and ghetto. And the same goes for all inbetween.
But with me, looking back, I realize I was very nieve about many things. I assumed people were generally good and fair, and that if you just did the right thing, you'd be rewarded, either by man or god. I was wrong, I was dead wrong, but again, it just depends, cause for some, that's true...variables.
Either way, I'm disappointed with how my life ended up, such an under acheiver do to all the bad decisions I made when younger, but for the right reasons.

I never thought I could or would lose in life when younger, but now I may just have to face the fact that I have lost. Sure, I can pretend I haven't, and still take things day by day, but in reality, I have lost....if measuring life by a western standard anyways.

When you get older, you just stop caring so much about stuff, details, getting fired, the future, this and that.
I mean, when older, you realize closer to death than life, so it just puts things into perspective for you more so than when younger.

As an older person, no one wants me, no one values me, I'm basically scum to others.
As such, whatever.

I don't know, 5 million dollars to live 1-2 more years of life, ust living the dream, or another 10 -12 years of every day drugery?
10 years ago I'd take the drugery, but now, I don't know, I'd might take the 2 million and a few years of blissful living, after that, so what.

As you age you can drift from family
For sure, not all, but many families do drift apart, as we age. Sometimes can go decades without seeing one another, and by that time have become strangers, basically.
And you can even drift from your parent or parents, those still around, for a variety of reasons.
And some people, when around them again, remind you why you drifted to begin with. just because you're related to another doesn't mean they're nice or reasonable or even sane.
Also, what annoys me, even about parents or a parent, is sure, they took care of you from k-12, if lucky, but then all your adult life you take care of yourself, and some still want to treat you like you're dumb, and should be forever thankful to them for giving you the basics, decades ago, and ye, you should, but there comes a time when they need to acknowledge your own perseverance of getting through this world on your own.
------------------------------
I'm older now, I've made a lot of poor fiscal decisions along the way, and sure I'm still healthy enough to work, but if had made better decisions, I wouldn't have to work right now.
I've only got so much energy and drive left in me, and seems I'm always trying to help those who are actually in better positions than I am, in that some have pensions, some have sons, daughters, ect to take care of them should they fall, me, what do I have? Only myself, and that's fine when younger, but when older that can get a bit scary as reality of age begins to set in.
I have limited resources, which is basically my paycheck, which has to be earned hour by hour, and the older I get the harder it becomes to do that.
I can no longer afford fiscally or in practical terms to spend 1000's of dollars helping those who never helped me when younger. Not out of meanness, but out of if something happens to me, my health, those 1000's of dollars I spend on others, I won't have to spend on self when need it.
And don't give me this being generous to others will come back to you stuff, cause most of the time it won't.
You can give others everything you got, and then when it's your time for help, they give you nothing and close doors. I see this dynamic played out all the time within own dysfunctional family and others.
Actually, all of humanity is one big dysfunctional family.

Maybe I need to start learning how to play video games so I can relax like others I don't think there's a age limit to these games anymore. I mean heck, most of us, if between 50-60, were the original gamers, Atari, nintendo, ect. pong...

I for sure have been feeling my age as of the last few weeks. But what is 'feeling your age'? I think either you're in good health or your not, regardless of your age, I guess, as in aging is new to all of us. None of us knows what it's like to be 50 until actually make it that far...so every day is like an experiment with self.
I mean, looking back, I can remember when 30, and would wake up 'feeling my age'...ya know.
That aside, regardless of my age I need to pay better attention to my health.

And as I age, I manage my energy differently. I don't do things if I don't have the enthusiasm to do it.
I think that's why in the past, or even today, so many males die off earlier than women, cause men are always trying to prove their manhood by doing things they ought not be doing, and then die early because of it. I'm still alive, still here, cause I don't allow myself to stress anymore, or at least I try to keep stress out of my life when I can.
I mean if I get ripped off, I get ripped off, I'm not trying to stress over it for days, like I might have years ago.

Lighted computer keyboard review for older people
Lighted keyboards do help when older, and need to see digits on keyboard without turning lights on.

Sometimes I just feel so doomed, no matter what I tell myself. As I age, and as eye sight gets worst, body less efficient, I just feel doomed. And I realize I'll never earn enough to retire comfortably.
I'm doomed.

One more day of mundane work to go, than off for 3 days, wish I could be off for 30 days and get paid, and no, I don't mean when old, withered and retired, I mean now, while still healthy enough to enjoy my days off, and even go party if I want (which I haven't done in ages).
But ye, one more day of this madness...working, while not getting ahead is slavery. Industry needs slaves, or it wouldn't make a profit.
Is why I don't think Unions are so bad, cause to me, a good union stands between industry and slavery. Regardless of their political support, the workers are taken care of.

Taking off from the Lewiston, ID Nez Perce airport (United Express)
I don't enjoy flying, like I used to. I'd rather drive a brand new rented car now, than fly, but time doesn't always allow that.
