Shooting victim gets ran over by officer who was responding to 911 call

Man gets shot, who happens to be 'B', calls 911, and while still on the phone with 911 dispatch, he gets ran over by responding officer who was female, if you go to news link above by CBS news, you can see the dash cam footage and man clearly in the street, clearly visible, and officer just runs him over.

I couldn't watch all of it, I stopped it right before he got hit by car.

What to make of this?

Sure the dash cam video, which records from front view, shows man in middle of the street, but, but, someone suggested that officer was more focused on addresses, in other words driving slowly while looking out the window for addresses, could that be the case, or did officer think guy on the street was the suspect and just wanted to 'off them'?...but even if the suspect that still not police protocal.

I'd love to get follow up info about this case.

Guy for sure had a bad day, get's shot, then ran over by Police, then later dies at hospital, wow.

Home made plastic pipe bomb goes off in officers face, they were not seriously hurt, but hopefully learned lesson from it



This officer was sloppy, for sure...and even after bomb went off, second officer who showed up seemed overly calm, and not concerned with first officers medical condition.

Way more cops should have showed up.
