Before 50 vs after 50, what one thought vs how it really is

One big difference for sure

One big difference for sure is way back long ago, people who were 50 + were looked upon as ancient wise men/women who were to be respected and honored by all of society.

Today, being over 50 basically means you're a 50+ year old teenager, and still treated as such by most.

Yes, I do believe I'm owed a refund from all the things churches told me when I was younger, to basically give all my money to them, instead of preparing for my own future, cause for sure 'Jesus' would have returned by now and thus I wouldn't have to worry about growing old, thus, why would I need to save any money since money would do me no good in 'Heaven'.

Boy was I a sucker, I want a refund please.

I thought when I became 50, or before that time, that Jesus would of come back by now.

Obviously that hasn't happened, or if so I got left behind.

Actually when I was 30, I never ever sat around thinking what life would be like when I was 50.
That's probably why I'm still a check to check type of person, cause I didn't prepare, cause when younger turning 50 just never occurred to me.

Ye cause you've made it through the hard stuff, so after 50 you start to sail, not that life is any easier, but mentally you just start to sail, more confident, and realize 'hey, I got this life thing'

You learn for most, life doesn't get easier as you age, rather the simple stuff simply becomes harder as you age and become weaker.

I think before age 50, you're concerned about the world destroying itself.
But after the age of 50, I don't think you care as much if the world destroys itself.
