Religion only seems rational when there's a governing body to keep it in check
Religion without government is tyranny, not sure why so many people in the U.S. forget that.
When religious authority is all there is, all that rules over others, all the nice and loving parts of that religion go away, and it simply becomes brutal and barbaric by those in charge.

Sometimes I simply think that 'God', is simply 'this world', and or Earth
And the 'will of God', sometimes simply tends to be what the dominant controlling society wants.

To me, the 'power of God', is simply those around you liking you enough to be kind, and instead of attributing them for their kindness, some think it's God...forcing them to be kind, I guess.
But when utterly alone and isolated, one tends to see things differently.

As you age, you start wanting a god who does more for you than just stare at you all the time.
I mean like the Cartel are 'blessed', making more money than ever, sending their muffins to the most prestige's of colleges and schools, taking care of their parents, and relatives....who's blessing them?
Yet poor every day working smucks who follow the rules, the civil rules and gods moral rules, are near broke, and told 'God is in control'...ye right.
Is god a prankster then?

Once over the age of like 55, not sure what god can do for me anymore, I mean if what I wanted in life never happened, at 55+, when not as healthy, it won't matter anymore.
If not given to me when younger and in my prime, not sure I want it when older.

As a older person, who used to be a Christain, I feel I no longer have to or need to love rotten people
I have no tolerance for rotten people anymore, and being nice to them, or giving them a pardon, in the past, has done nothing to enhance my life.
They just get more rotten, they hurt people and only change when older and to tired to be rotten anymore...screw them.

In a way, life was more fun, when I was younger and believed in heaven and hell, and prayed all the time, and so this world as a temporary voyage or stop.
I wish I could get that innocense back, but I can't.
And for me to return to religion and god and all that, it would just be disinginuine at my age and stage.
I still believe in god, but in a difference way I suppose.
Obviously we were created, I just question whether or not the creator cares about 'man', the way outlined in the bible and or other relgious books.

Christianity let me down
Christianity let me down.
I mean this movie is a prime example of that.
I mean like when that stuff going on, I was all religious, church going, while other males my age busy sleeping around and getting women pregnant.
Well now years later, they all have hobbits, grandhobbits, extended families, and people to take care of them when old (those who are still alive)...but look at me?
No family, no hobbits, no wife, nothing, cause when younger and in my prime to busy being religious.
God has let me down, Christianity has failed me.
God seems to love, bless, fornicators more so than me.
God has blessed fornicators with hobbits, with love, with family, and what has god blessed me with?
Lonliness and a empty future.
Christianity, ye, OK.
If I could do it again, I'd sleep around, and not give a F.

People who say 'we must come back to god', as their answer to what's wrong with society, really do annoy me, cause sorry, but society isn't going to all come back to god anytime soon.
That's a wish, not a solution.
And if people did or do 'come back to god', which god would they all return to?
Not everyone believes in the same god.
So to me, that's a very stupid answer and or response.

Smart people like me always get mutted...it's not that I'm smart, per say, but rather I'm honest, and in this day and age, being honest makes you seem smart, cause you know the right questions to ask.

Come back to what?
I've been a decent person all my life, so what is it I'd be coming back to?
You learn, you grow, reality, your own, changes as you get older.
If a savior exists, they're going to save those they already want to, regardless of my belief or actions, as is done now with people.
There are people who prosper, regardless of their character being good or bad.

Just had man older than me, call me about something, about helping my hoarder sister move a few more things.
Him and my sister attend the same church, and a few weeks ago, that man, and about 8 other men, and teenagers, from that church showed up to help do whatever, during that time we got to meet.
My sister has attended that church forever, me, I've never gone.
Long story short, one of the older dudes there called me back, would like to maybe have dinner sometime, ect.
But here's the thing with me, I'm weary of friendships made at church, cause in the end there's always a caviot (catch), 'Either join, get saved, and or you're lost'.
Been there done that in the past, and not trying to get lured down that path again.
I mean they could just genuinely like me, but I doubt it.
I just prefer friendships without the religious factor involved, I trust those type of friendships more.
