Ye, I got the silly idea to maybe go back to college, I mean the whole shabang, as in starting over from scratch. I first wanted to just maybe take a tech course, get certified in something, but then I was like 'You know what, I've really become stupid over the years on all the modern methods of doing things'....as such it's best for me to just start over from math, to writing, sentence structure, computers, the whole shabang. Like a degree in 'I just don't want to be stupid anymore'.
That being said, I'm older, and as such, I'm self-conscious about stepping foot back in a local college where 90% of the student body would probably be younger than me, and think that I was the janitor or something....I would feel shamed. Sure, I know there's older students these days, more so than ever, but still, I'd still feel embarrassed like 'Hey, why are you even here?'...is what I'd feel others were thinking. Is why if I did take courses/classes, I'd prefer most be done online, cause I also still work a job.
I don't know, I do feel like I'm chickening out right now, but at the same time I need to get up to speed on so much. I haven't been in college in like forever, and even if did 20 + years ago, I've forgotten everything I learned. And things are changing fast, and if don't want to feel retarded going forward, I need to learn stuff. Sure, I could learn stuff for free online, but if going to learn, I'd rather it go towards a real degree as in AA/AS degree. I wish I had another I could do this with, for support purposes.
Oh well, stay tuned, cause I'll be recording my future college adventures here, if I decide to go forward with this crazy idea.

I tell you what though, as a older guy, colleges are wimps...lol.
What I mean is I just tried calling assessment center, and my gosh, they're closed down today and tomorrow, due to a hurricane that's still out in the ocean...wow.
Times have really changed, if I do go back to college, I'd better keep my old school ways of thinking to myself.

OK, just registered for college prep test, and I suppose I should try to relearn some basic math so don't make a total J/A of myself come test day. To be honest, I'd have to say my current math skills are 6-8 grade level, if that, but only cause I've been out of school for so long, and naturally you forget what you don't use or practice on a daily basis.
