Me, going out and getting hammered, or drinking at home, is not going to change a darn thing about reality, all it will do is effect my health, if anything.
I think I need to let go of this idea that I'm suppose to change anything.

Partial future GenX radio skit about the holidays and drinking
Anyways folks, like in the movie 'Dawn of the Dead', the one that came out in 1978, we've had to flee the compound by helicopter do to an influx of zombies that the security team was unable to hold off.
So we're going to see if we can find a zombie free zone to land on or at, it'll probably have to be atop some sky scraper, but in the meantime the next zombie I want to examine during this Xmas Zombie episode is the zombie known as alcoholism...and it's a big scary zombie that effects many.
But the thing about the alcohol zombie is it doesn't kill you immediately, rather it slowly stocks it's victims over time, and just when you think your safe, and have created distance, here comes the alcohol zombie sneaking up on you again.
In fact, Jalo, hand me my laptop, I'm going to read a few real life journal entrees from someone, or a person, who's been stalked by the drinking zombie for quite some time, and this could be any one of you out there...

Monday's show will be the last show on it's current station, then there will be a pause, a break.
The show may then re-appear on a different station, and or Podcast and or ect...we shall see, but for now, after Monday's show, Gen X radio will be re-tooling.

This will be the first week in maybe 5 months or so, that the GenX radio show doesn't air on 1490 WWPR am, I removed the show from the line up. I did it for a few reasons, but the main reason being how it sounded on air, the sound engineer they had totally sucked, and made my crisp clean sounding shows sound like crap. And I'm paying for air time, there's no excuse for that, so I pulled the show. And may or may not land it on another station, or may just keep it to podcast form, don't know yet. But can listen to older podcast episodes on Spreaker, Spotify, ect. www.spreaker.com/episode/52285087 It's a fun creative theatrical show that never got a fair show cause it aired on such a small market and other bad luck type of stuff. |

I have a opportunity to relaunch show in the Seattle, WA area, already signed the agreement ect, but for some reason having second thoughts.
When I'm drunk, I act immature, say things I may not mean, and make sporatic decisions....was this yet another one?
I mean, I don't know, do I really need to dump money on another show where basically no one responds, or could this be my big break?
After all, the Seattle area is a big market.
I don't know, I've got time to think about it, haven't dropped down any money yet.

Gen X radio is now on KKNW 1500 (Seattle) 1500 KKNW (Alternative radio) is the new home of Gen X radio. It's a much larger station than the last one. The show now airs from 9-9:30 am pacific time. 1150kknw.com/shows/the-genx-radio-show/  A dream market actually, the whole Puget sound area.
