About to pay Xfinity bill I got mad at them last month cause they kept raising my price, and it just sickened me, as I kept seeing other better offers from them. I was on auto pay, but ended that so could feel the pain of paying the bill every month and be more aware of what they're charging me. However, I did get them to adjust some things and lower the price by about 45 dollars or so a month...we shall see, as I'm about to go to the site now and see what current balance is. Where I stay Xfinity really does have a monopoly on cable, and they do have pretty good decent high speed, that's the main reason I really don't want to leave them, cause I know in this area, any other option would be subpar.

Continued from above
yep, just paid Xfinity bill and yep, it did go down quite a bit, nearly 70 dollars or so, and that's why be careful about auto pay, cause they hope you'll forget about it thus they can keep creeping your bill up dollars at a time and hope you never notice.
That's such a sleezy practice.
Anyways, that's now 70 dollars I'll be saving every month, and in this hard era of inflation, that's saved money I can use.
Plus not drinking anymore at the moment, so that's another 200 a month in beer and booze will be saving, cool.

I tolerate Comcast only cause they have really good service. But they can be sneaky, and will raise your bill without you letting you know, is why took self off of auto billing, that way I feel the pain every month when I pay, and notice any charge increase.

I get notices from collection agencies on bills that are near a decade old or so.
They always say 'Do to age of debt we cannot sue you in court' blah blah and this.
These are like small department store type of cards, many of the business aren't even in business anymore, so who the F are they collecting for?
That aside, the debts are so old that they can't sue in you court, yet still want you to pay them, and many are willing to work with me to reduce debt to like under $350 dollars.
A part of me wants to go ahead and pay it, even though I don't have to, and another part of me wants to just keep saying 'screw it', in that in these hard times I need cash now more than ever, like my cars acting up, so if have to get another car, I need all the cash I can get since credit score is low anyways.
Right now cash, having lots of cash, is more life saving to me than using that cash to pay off past debt, just to be broke again, just to have to use credit again to get by.
I mean cash savings is just to hard to come by these days, checking account barely grows as it is, with high rent and all, let alone me going backwards and spending cash on dead credit cards from a decade back or so.
Those CEO's aren't hurting, they're living lavish lives, parties, large homes, boats, yachts, and more, and I should feel guilty about not paying back a King?
Hell no.
That's some biblically based peasant lesson type of stuff.
What I see is that life is short, and evil rich people rule over the poor.
Period.

Just paid two bills, a card, and Xfinity.
Xfinity is the one that diqusts me though, the bill is way to high, in my humble opinion, but where I stay they have a monopoly on service.
Still, I gag everytime I pay that bill, and went off auto pay so that I'd be forced to see the bill every month.
Last time I was on auto pay it's like they just kept raising the price, and I guess hoping I'd never notice, well I did, and told them to drop the pay or good-by.
They dropped it by about 50 bucks a month, but I swear it's as if it's still starting to creep up again.
These greedy corporate types can never ever take enough of our hard earned money.

I'm in the process of 'freezing' all my credit, in that when you freeze your credit at all 3 major credit agencies, no one can open credit in your name.
And I just told my mother to do the same....and would tell your mother to do the same, if could speak with them...lol.
