I just can't watch lord of the rings anymore, not the newer series editions.
Even as a person of color, I get very annoyed with casting director decides to just randomly toss charco black characters into the mix...why?
I mean even black people have a better sense of historical perspective than that.
Hobbits, all that Norctic folklore stuff, is white, period.
There's no need to toss in black characters from Africa, just to make the audience feel soothed, cause it doesn't, what it does is annoy the hell out of the audience, even black folks.

Wish I could find a good decent scary movie to watchm, but just can't anymore, it's so hard.
Most movie covers just look like spoofs now.
I mean you have to have a reason to care about those on the screen, even if they are fictional characters.
Writers, directors, in the past just did a better job at pulling you in.

Today was the first day I ever watched any episode from the wire *YT clips
Seems to be a decent older HBO series that when on, I totally missed out.
About crime, cops, the streets ect.
I'm so glad I didn't grow up in an urban area like in this show.

What a terrible movie night, can't find a thing on Amazon that interests me, at least without commercials.
Freevee on Amazon has decent horror movies, but they come with ads, very disruptive, especially at night when trying to fall asleep to a movie.
Maybe I'll try Disney, and haven't signed into Hulu forever.
just a bad movie night, and I so needed something to just take me away from my own reality for a while.

All these streaming channels just need to consolidate
There's ust to many movies spread out over way to many streaming services, they need to consolidate, and I betcha they will, sooner or later.
I mean they can still all get paid the same as individual movies are selected, I don't know.
I ust know there's to many streaming services as such, certain good movies are never found.
Youtube, actually, in my opinion, is always a good alternative...it's free and can find pretty decent movies on there, if willing to tolerate ads.
But you can watch older classic movies ad free.

Daisy jones and the 6
So far this movie is hitting all the right tones with me, I mean I think it's based on a true story?
But if into like hippie rock bands from the early 70's and that whole vibe, you'll like this story.
All the characters look good, as if should be there, and they really capture that era well.
just started watching season one, so have a long way to go in this series, which is airing on Amazon right now.

In movies, especially horror movies, young whites are always cast so differently than their black or hispanic counterparts.
You know, horror movies always start of with young, carefree group of white college students, weed smoking, beer drinking, free sex types, without a care in the world, as they vacation to a cabin between College break.
Makes you wonder how they got into their colleges or universities they way their characters are portrayed in the movie.

I think generally the franchise movies on Disney + are better than what's on Amazon.
But on Disney, once you get past like Star Wars, X-Men, Marvel, ect, then their movies really don't have a lot of apppeal to meat and potato types.

You'd think that after over 70 years of Television, that they'd of figured out a way by now not to make TV commercials so invasive to a show.
I mean it's like BLAM! = commercial out of nowhere, and has nothing to do with the show you're watching.
The whole point of watching a show is to build emotional momentum towards a scene or moment, then BLAM!, here comes intrusive commercials, which totally take you out of the moment.
1. Maybe if commercials could scroll at bottom of screen?
2. Or give viewer a countdown before they begin?
Cause as of now, when commercials air, it's like water in the face...BLAM! = commercials.
They gotta do a better job at not annoying the viewer.
