A bike ride I tell you what, all it took was one bike ride for me to realize how far out of shape I've fallen. Now to the casual eyes, looking at pic, I may seem in shape; and sure, I'm in get up and go to work every day type of shape, but that's far from the type of shape I need to be in in order to be healthy. I got like 4 blocks up the road and already felt a bit winded and dispirited (but I kept on of course), but not before pausing and having a reflective moment. I think as we age, we tend to fool ourselves and think as long as we can get out of bed, go to work, do a few chores, than we're OK...oh, and have a few beers per week or night. But it catches up with you eventually. The older you get, I realize now (well, have for a while) that you really have to be proactive about your health and fitness, cause it will diminish if you're not. That includes diet, exercise, and even mental health exercise. I'm the 'look OK in mirror so must be fit' type, well I'm not, fitness is just as much about what's going on inside your body as it is with your extremities. --------------------------------------- So what do I need to do to better my health? 1. Stop drinking beer.I mean I can go days, even a week without, but when I do drink, I tend to drink hard. 2. Regular exercise, cardio and weights, and squats, light, but none the less leg and knee strengthening is vital for good health and posture. One of the first signs of getting old is how people walk, do to pain or lack of flexibility, ect. If you want to stay walking and moving like you're young than stretch, stretch and stretch some more. 3. Diet.Lately I've slipped back into the bad habit of eating chips, snacks, sodas, but only when at work, but it still adds up in body and will take a toll. -------------------------------- I mean I'm really not that far from being in great shape for my age, if only I could get out of my own way. To be continued.

Drilled I just created this portrait of self moments ago, titled 'Drilled', I mean what else, since holding drill in hands. It's actually an older portrait that I kind of spoofed up. I enlarged the feet and head area, which probably makes me look younger in portrait than I really am. It's been a while since I've taking new fresh camera portraits, like I used to do....I think video has made me lazy and gifs. With video, you just move around and then simply freeze frame and crop whatever moment you like, where as with the camera, you sit and pose...and maybe out of 10 pics, you're lucky if 1-3 pass the muster. Anyways, just bored, killing time (actually time is killing me), but while here I continue to cave write on the walls.

I'm just 'me', OK...(pic taken today, 10-23-2023) I'm just me, OK... How come just being 'you', so, at times, intimidates like religious types, older W conservative types, Congo African types, Muslims, ect and whatever.... Why can't we all just be ourselves? And if ourselves happen to be playful, beautiful and nice, why is that so bad?, why is that a sin, in the eyes of others? It's others who sin, not me...OK. That being said, while alive, I'll explore self as I see fit, for my own sake, not yours. Now lets dance and have some fun....

You can look however you wanna look at any age and or gender, we sculpt ourselves Is looking good a sin? Is looking good to self a sin? Oh, it's just art, relax, but just saying, if I can make myself look like this (and I'm ugly), I can, could, only imagine what I could do for others who actually, truly, do look good in real life. Actually, my body is fine, it's just my face won't co-operate...D'oh!

Just take care of yourself Not bad, for over 50. Gen X, for sure. I did, however, use Ribbit photo editor to kind of add some tone and depth and color to the image. My only real weakness is that I drink, if I could kick that habit, who knows how much better I'd look to myself.

I've got longer hair now than ever, but now that older, so what. If I had had this long hair 20 years ago, cool... It's like my life's path is going in reverse.
