Sci-fi TV shows those over 50-70 grew up watching Mainly shows those between 50-70 grew up watching, either in original form or as repeats or replays or syndication. Those over 70, were more than likely listening to the radio in their prime teen years. Let's begin.

In order to understand those over 50, you have to understand the movies they, we, watched while younger and growing up
Star Trek first aired like in 1966, so some over 50 weren't even born yet, but got a steady dose of Star Trek during the 70's when it aired in syndication always on one of the 3 big networks back then.
You have to understand what was embedded in the minds of 'youth' back then (who are now grown), to better understand the direction of society.
Certain 'standards' of conduct were grounded into youth back then, that are different than today.
Actually though Star Trek one of the few shows that was politically correct back then that could stand today's test's, other than Captain Kirk always French kissing alien women.
(This standard I speak of only applies to sci-fi movies, in that other movies from that era, the content, might not be suitable for today's viewers, as in some of the comedy from back then)...we'll cover that in another section though.

I had no idea Kong movies were still being created after the 2005 version
One thing for sure, in all of the versions whether from the 1930's, to 2020, Kong sure does crave him some 'white lady'.

The Yesterday Machine
Heck, not even I was born yet when this movie came out..
I like comparing styles, how people moved and grooved from back then to today, a lot of things are circular.

A trailer of one of the very first, if not the first, Godzilla movie ever made, and even stars the actor from 'Perry Mason'
Boy how what scares us as a society, has changed over time.

I find it amazing how quickly Japan and America were making movies together so quickly after Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings

Brain Dead
OK, this one came out like probably in the 90's, maybe late 80's? You can usually get a hint by the cars and or other props in the scenes.
That aside, I've never seen this movie until now, on Amazon. It's one of those sci-fi thrillers that totally borderlines being a 'B' movie. But for some reason, this movie here captivates me, or at least enough to still be watching it.
When I see movies decades after production, I often wonder what my reaction to same movie, decades earlier when younger?
Would I have even bothered watching this back then? I don't know. Whether or not a movie interests you has a lot to do with timing, maturity and or lack of.
Anyways, it's an OK older sci-fi flick if into the whole mad scientist type of thing.

Alien - 1979
This movie, after all these years, still holds up so well, and is far superior to most of the junk put out today. If want a good old fashion, thought provoking scare, than check out 'Alien', the movie. This movie set the standard for many that followed, but sadly that standard has shrank, do to fast food movie production as of late.

Don't forget this movie 'Apollo 18', very creepy
Don't let this one get lost in time, it's one that 'thinkers' will enjoy forever.

I notice the Alien creatures never eat their prey, so how do they grow so fast if they don't eat anything?
Aliens always seem to kill their prey, mainly humans, just for the sport of it, but you never see them eat their kill, I wonder why?

HellRaiser (2023)
Yep, they did a reboot or remake of Hell raiser, that dominated theaters in the 90's.
I do believe the writer or director was gay, and you can see tones of that in this new production, in that unlike other horror movies, in this one the victims are equally male, young, and modelish looking, which is usually only how females are cast in these type of movies; and I actually find it refreshing.

Edge of tomorrow - Tom Cruise
Suddenly I've become very enamored with this movie, which I'm watching on 'Hulu'. kind of reminds me of my own life in a way, the way patterns are repeated over and over again, and how we tend to fall into the same emotional traps, over and over again, like a cosmic game.

Marooned
Not sure if they'll let full video air on here, if not you can watch or find on YT.
That aside, here's a oldie sci-fi space movie that I just learned about today. And oddly enough it kind of mimics what's going on with Boeing's current capsule delima.

Lately I've been watching the old 1963 Outer Limits show on Amazon. Seems they'll let you watch a few episodes, and then put up a pay wall.
But hard to fall asleep to these shows when they run commercials where the volume goes up.
That's what evil does, sorry, but that's evil, to boost the volume during a commercial.
How do they expect to sell a product while annoying viewer at the same time? I just turn the volume down and swear to myself to never buy whatever product on commerical where the volume went up.
Marketers are dumb as F, if they think annoying people will make them buy a product...daF

For some reason, even though this posted long ago, I kind of feel like watching this old movie...I can't even remember what it's about.
